Matapedia is located at the furthest West point of the Bay des Chaleurs in the Gaspй Peninsula, amid the enchanting surroundings of the breathtaking Matapedia Valley. It is accessible by Route 132 from Quebec City or from Route 11 in New Brunswick. Route 17 from Van Buren, Maine (two hour drive) will take you close to Matapedia. The closest airport is Charlo, New Brunswick, about 35 miles East of Matapedia. Mont-Joli airport is 95 miles West of Matapedia. Presqu’Isle, Maine airport is 145 miles South. Charlo, N.B. airport could resume its daily flights from Montreal in the future, so look on our Map page for the Air Canada link to get the latest schedules, link. Traveling by train from Montreal to Matapedia is very convenient and a real bargain. Leaving Montreal at 6:30 pm to arrive the next morning in front of our Lodge at around 5:00 am. On your return trip you'll leave Matapedia at 9:30 p.m. to arrive in Montreal the next morning at 8:00 am.
